What if I don't live in that area?
How much does it cost to join?
Dues are $25.00, annually. We're a non-profit organization, so most all of your money goes right back out into the community! There are limited scholarships available if needed.
What do my dues pay for?
We pay the International MOMS Club Corporation $2 per member per year to maintain our charter. Since we are a non-profit group, we can spend very little on our members, and thus must rely on our membership to donate the time and supplies to make our gatherings work.
What is required of me as a member?
You are not required to attend any specific amount of events. It's up to you and your family's needs!
Who is in charge of this group?
We have an Executive Board of five MOMS who serve as President, Administrative Vice President, Membership Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. All serve for a term of one year, and may choose to run for more terms during annual elections in June. In addition, we have members who serve as Coordinators for each of our activities and committees. It's the members that make our club work! The International MOMS Club organization is made up of volunteers who guide the chapters at the area, state and regional level. Even the Board of Directors of the International MOMS Club is made up of volunteers.
If I become a member, how will I know what's going on?
As a member, you will receive a fun newsletter via e-mail with recipes, the club calendar, announcements, and anything else that gets put in there! We also have a private Facebook page where our events are posted. Only members are allowed on our private Facebook page.
Yes, please bring your children to everything! Being a stay-at-home mom shouldn't keep you at home. (Most moms choose to leave the kids with dad or a sitter for MOMS Night Out, but nursing infants are always welcome!)
Do I have to be a full time stay-at-home mom to join?
No! This club was started by stay-at-home moms who lacked a strong network of others like them. This club is for anyone who is with their kids during the weekdays. Whether you are a full time stay-at-home, work-from-home, or part time stay-at-home parent, this club is for you to have that social network during the day.
Can I come to a meeting to check out your club?
Prospective members can attend two monthly business meetings before joining.
